History
A mediados del siglo XIX el lugar tenía contabilizada una población de 175 habitantes. Aparece descrito en el decimosegundo volumen del Diccionario geográfico-estadístico-histórico de España y sus posesiones de Ultramar de Pascual Madoz de la siguiente manera:
Monuments
En la localidad hay una iglesia bajo la advocación de de Santiago el mayor, con la torre de mudéjar tardío con gran similitud de formas en sus cuatro caras, constitución pero no en tamaño con las de Ruesca y Mara. Desde la ermita de Santa Ana hay unas vistas magníficas a Belmonte de Gracián y a Mara.
