History
Perteneció a la Comunidad de Ciudad y Tierra de Segovia, en el Sexmo de Santa Eulalia. Hasta la reforma de la nomenclatura municipal de 1916 el municipio se llamaba simplemente Yanguas. En dicha fecha su nombre fue modificado por el de Yanguas de Eresma.
Monuments
Iglesia de estilo barroco cortesano está dedicada a su patrona la Virgen Nuestra Señora de la Asunción.
Ermitas, al Santo Cristo o la Vera Cruz, San Roque y San Pedro de Caldas.
Fuente termal, donde se han encontrado restos romanos, su temperatura regular es de unos 20 °C.
Antigua estación de Yanguas de Eresma-Carbonero el Mayor, en el barrio de San Pedro de Caldas a 3 km.
Riberas del río Eresma y del río Moros.
Vía Verde del Eresma, línea de ferrocarril que unía Segovia con Medina del Campo.

Festivals
Sus fiestas son celebradas con gran fervor religioso y celebraciones profanas con corrida de toros y bailes con orquesta. Las danzas y jotas con la dulzaina y redoblante típico castellano son realizadas en las procesiones delante de sus santos.
Las fiestas principales son:
Semana Santa, procesión el Viernes Santo de la Virgen en luto hasta la ermita del Cristo del Humilladero. En Pascua de Resurrección los quintos sacan en procesión al Niño de la Bola desde la iglesia hasta la ermita saliendo La Virgen al encuentro;
Santa Águeda, el 5 de febrero;
San Antonio de Padua, el 13 de junio;
San Pedro, el 29 de junio (Patrón del barrio de la estación);
N.ª S.ª de la Asunción, el 15 de agosto;
San Roque, el 16 de agosto.
La juventud disfruta con las peñas en todas las fiestas, generalmente en las de San Roque y la Asunción pero el pueblo en general colabora con la "Peña Taurina", que organiza sus toros. Las peñas son: La Ola, Los Terribles, Los Bárbaros, Los Diablos, Preference, El Tumbalibre, El Tomaetílico, El Kolokón, Deluxe, el Beso´l choto, los Elegantes y La Revolución
