Sobremunt (Catalan pronunciation: [ˌsoβɾəˈmun]) is a municipality in the comarca of Lluçanès in Catalonia, Spain. In 2015, the municipality voted to join a proposed new comarca of Lluçanès, but the plan was put on hold due to insufficient support. Formerly part of Osona, it was finally incorporated into the new Lluçanès comarca in 2023.

History

La iglesia de San Martín está documentada desde el año 1094 y la capilla de Santa Lucía y Santa Quiteria desde finales del siglo XIV.

A mediados del siglo XIX, el lugar tenía contabilizada una población de 135 habitantes. Aparece descrito en el decimocuarto volumen del Diccionario geográfico-estadístico-histórico de España y sus posesiones de Ultramar de Pascual Madoz de la siguiente manera:
