Sant Bartomeu del Grau

Sant Bartomeu del Grau (Catalan pronunciation: [ˈsam bəɾtuˈmew ðəl ˈɣɾaw]) is a municipality in the comarca of Osona in Catalonia, Spain. Although the municipality lies within the natural region of Lluçanès, it voted in 2015 not to join a proposed new comarca of that name, but the plan was put on hold due to insufficient support.

History
La iglesia de San Bartolomé está documentada desde el año 961, si bien el núcleo actual se formó en el siglo XVII alrededor de un hostal. Inicialmente estuvo bajo la jurisdicción del castillo de Gurb y posteriormente pasó a la del obispo de Vic. En 1840 incorporó el antiguo municipio de Sant Jaume d'Alboquers. La creación y posterior ampliación de las naves industriales de la empresa Puigneró provocó un fuerte incremento de población en la década de 1960 y la construcción de bloques de viviendas baratas para los recién llegados.
