Figueruelas (population 1,040) is a small town and municipality in the Spanish Autonomous Region of Aragón, province of Zaragoza. The town is home to car factory, opened in 1982 by General Motors and later sold to the PSA Group and currently Stellantis. It has built five generations of the Opel Corsa, as well as the Peugeot 208 among others.

Origins
En las Crónicas de los Jueces de Teruel se nombra el municipio con el nombre de Figeras, en referencia a un suceso ocurrido durante la guerra entre el rey y la Unión de Aragón:
History
En 1982 se inauguró la fábrica de automóviles de General Motors, luego vendida al grupo Grupo PSA en 2017 y actualmente parte del grupo Stellantis. Fue la primera planta automovilística del mundo en fabricar ininterrumpidamente durante las 24 horas del día. Allí se ha fabricado el Opel Corsa y el Peugeot 208 entre otros.
