Aguas Cándidas is a municipality and town located in the province of Burgos, Castile and León, Spain. According to the 2004 census (INE), the municipality had a population of 97 inhabitants. The municipality of Aguas Cándidas is made up of three towns: Aguas Cándidas, Quintanaopio and Río Quintanilla (seat or capital).

History
Villa, en la cuadrilla de Caderechas, una de las siete en que se dividía la Merindad de Bureba perteneciente al partido de Bureba. jurisdicción de realengo con regidor pedáneo.
A la caída del Antiguo Régimen queda constituida en ayuntamiento constitucional del mismo nombre, en el partido judicial de Briviesca, región de Castilla la Vieja, contaba entonces con 48 habitantes.
