Villamañán (Spanish pronunciation: [biʎamaˈɲan]) is a town located in the south-west of the province of León, Spain, on the river Esla, in the area known as Esla-Campos, in the autonomous community of Castile and León in Spain. It was originally known as Villamagna, but the name evolved to its current version, Villamañán. The distance from Madrid is 302 km, 37 km from León, 152 km from Valladolid, and 320 km from A Coruña.
