Valtajeros is a municipality in the province of Soria in the autonomous community of Castile and León, Spain. It is situated on the Alhama River and has approximately 34 inhabitants. It has an altitude of 1261m. Valtajeros has a twelfth-century church called Iglesia de Nuestra Señora del Collado (The Church of Our Lady of Collado) situated at the town's highest point. Local industry includes cereal growing and a cattle ranch. Wildlife in the area includes Wild Boar and Red Deer.

History
Durante la Edad Media formaba parte de la Comunidad de Villa y Tierra de Magaña, que en el censo de Floridablanca aparece repartida en cuatro partidos, siendo una villa eximida por el duque de Santisteban.
A la caída del Antiguo Régimen la localidad se constituyó en municipio constitucional en la región de Castilla la Vieja, partido de Ágreda que en el censo de 1842 contaba con 50 hogares y 196 vecinos. La localidad aparece descrita en el decimoquinto volumen del Diccionario geográfico-estadístico-histórico de España y sus posesiones de Ultramar de Pascual Madoz de la siguiente manera:
