Origins
El nombre de este pueblo viene de Nuestra de Señora La Virgen del Val, patrona de Alcalá de Henares.
History
Hacia mediados del siglo XIX, el lugar tenía contabilizada una población de 199 habitantes. La localidad aparece descrita en el decimoquinto volumen del Diccionario geográfico-estadístico-histórico de España y sus posesiones de Ultramar de Pascual Madoz de la siguiente manera:
