Riba-roja d'Ebre (Catalan pronunciation: [ˌriβaˈrɔjʒa ˈðeβɾe]) is a municipality in the comarca of the Ribera d'Ebre in southern Catalonia, Spain. It has a population of 1,132 (register office, 2025) . It is the site of a large hydroelectric power station, on the Ebro river. The whole area is mountainous.

Origins
Hasta la reforma de la nomenclatura municipal de 1916 el municipio se llamaba simplemente Ribarroija. En dicha fecha su nombre fue modificado por el de Ribarroija de Ebro.
El nombre del lugar puede encontrarse mencionado con las variantes Ribarroja de Ebro, Rivarroja, Ribarroija, Ribarroja y Riba-roja d'Ebre, el nombre oficial.
