Puerto Seguro

Puerto Seguro is a municipality located in the province of Salamanca, Castile and León, Spain. As of 2016 the municipality has a population of 64 inhabitants. It is named after the noble title of a deputy in Cortes for Vitigudino, the 12th Marquess of Puerto Seguro (1871–1937) who carried out the necessary procedures for the town to change its name from Barba del Puerco in 1916.

History
Su término municipal está formado por un solo núcleo de población, ocupa una superficie total de 29,38 km² y según los datos demográficos recogidos en el padrón municipal elaborado por el INE en el año 2025, cuenta con una población de 52 habitantes. Todo su territorio se sitúa dentro del parque natural de Arribes del Duero, un espacio natural protegido de gran valor ambiental y turístico.

Ermita de El Humilladero.
Puente de Barba del Puerco o de los Franceses (tras las guerras napoleónicas), de origen romano y reconstruido tras la guerra con Portugal en 1646, en 1808 por tropas portuguesas al mando del duque de Wellington y en 1906 tras una grave crecida del río Águeda.
