History
A mediados del siglo XIX, la villa tenía contabilizada una población de 300 habitantes. Aparece descrita en el decimoprimer volumen del Diccionario geográfico-estadístico-histórico de España y sus posesiones de Ultramar de Pascual Madoz de la siguiente manera:

Junto al casco urbano, sobre un altozano, se encuentran los restos del castillo de Morés, catalogado como bien de interés cultural en su categoría de zona arqueológica. Cerca de Morés se encuentra el antiguo poblado celtíbero de Morkes.

San Félix 30 de mayo. Fiestas mayores con actos religiosos y profanos como charangas, orquestas nocturnas, espectáculos taurinos (estos de gran popularidad).
Virgen del Rosario. Primer domingo de octubre. Un fin de semana con actos religiosos y profanos.
Entre los aldeanos de la pequeña villa de Mores hay un dicho popular muy graciosin que se dice así" Mores no me lo des ni de la cara ni del revés".
El 11 de mayo, se realiza la romería a la ermita de San Blas en el barrio de Purroy. Las fiestas patronales en honor de san Félix tienen lugar del 30 de mayo al 3 de junio. El 13 de diciembre se celebra la fiesta en honor de Santa Lucía.
