Monteagudo de las Vicarías is a municipality located in the province of Soria, Castile and León, Spain. According to the 2004 census (INE), the municipality has a population of 268 inhabitants.

History
En 1834 la conocida como tierra de Monteagudo desaparece con la creación de los ayuntamientos lo que conlleva la supresión de los señoríos.
A la caída del Antiguo Régimen la localidad se constituye en municipio constitucional, en la región de Castilla la Vieja, partido de Almazán que en el censo de 1842 contaba con 162 hogares y 652 vecinos.
A mediados del siglo XIX, la villa tenía contabilizadas 170 casas. Aparece descrita en el decimoprimer volumen del Diccionario geográfico-estadístico-histórico de España y sus posesiones de Ultramar de Pascual Madoz de la siguiente manera:
En 1895 se abrió al tráfico la línea Valladolid-Ariza, que permitió la conexión de la comarca con el resto de la red ferroviaria española. El municipio contaba con una estación de ferrocarril propia, que disponía de un edificio de pasajeros e instalaciones para mercancías. La línea fue cerrada al tráfico de pasajeros en enero de 1985 por ser considerada deficitaria.
Hasta la reforma de la nomenclatura municipal de 1916 el municipio se llamaba simplemente Monteagudo. En dicha fecha su nombre fue modificado por el de Monteagudo de las Vicarías. A finales del siglo XX crece el término del municipio porque incorpora a Valtueña.
En diciembre de 2019 la localidad se unió a la asociación de Los Pueblos Más Bonitos de España.
