Origins
Se da el mismo nombre en un caserío de la provincia y municipio de Zaragoza. El topónimo Mamblas viene del latín mammulas, «tetas», «tetillas», diminutivo de mamma «teta» «pezón». Se trata de una denominación muy expresiva, muy frecuente en la península ibérica, en Cerdeña y en el norte de África.
History
Hacia mediados del siglo XIX, el lugar tenía contabilizada una población de 391 habitantes. Aparece descrito en el decimoprimer volumen del Diccionario geográfico-estadístico-histórico de España y sus posesiones de Ultramar de Pascual Madoz de la siguiente manera:
