Lemoa (Spanish: Lemona) is a town and municipality located in the province of Biscay, in the autonomous community of Basque Country, northern Spain.
History
Hacia mediados del siglo XIX, el lugar, una anteiglesia ya por entonces con ayuntamiento propio, tenía contabilizada una población de 575 habitantes. Aparece descrito en el décimo volumen del Diccionario geográfico-estadístico-histórico de España y sus posesiones de Ultramar de Pascual Madoz con las siguientes palabras:
