Granyanella (Catalan pronunciation: [gɾaɲaˈneʎa]) is a village in the province of Lleida and autonomous community of Catalonia, Spain. It has a population of 154 (register office, 2025) .
Origins
El municipio se llamaba oficialmente Grañanella hasta mediados de la década de 1980, en que pasó a denominarse Granyanella. Puede encontrarse también referido como Grañenella.
History
Antes del censo de 1857, incorporó a su término los hasta entonces municipios de La Curullada, Fonolleres, La Móra y Tordera. A mediados del siglo XIX, el lugar tenía contabilizada una población de 32 habitantes. Aparece descrito en el octavo volumen del Diccionario geográfico-estadístico-histórico de España y sus posesiones de Ultramar de Pascual Madoz con las siguientes palabras:
