Castromocho is a municipality located in the province of Palencia, Castile and León, Spain. According to the 2004 census (INE), the municipality had a population of 258 inhabitants. The municipality borders Fuentes de Nava, Baquerín de Campos, Torremormojón, Villerías de Campos, Boada de Campos, Capillas, Villarramiel and Abarca de Campos.

History
The area dates back to Roman times and there is evidence presented in coins and other remains found in the municipality. Castromocho has a ruined fort or castle. After the expulsion of the Arabs from the kingdoms of Castile and León, Castromocho blossomed after the tenth century but it formally founded as a town in the late fifteenth century.
The St. Stephen church was built in the sixteenth century, although recently renovated, with two renaissance facades, and the other church, Iglesia Santa Maria, dedicated to St. Mary, stands out for its beautiful terraced tower and steeple with glazed tiles which were also recently restored. The church contains a notable sculpture of Our Lady of the Angels, known as the "Queen of the Angels", a work attributed to the Baroque sculptor Lucia Ignacia Roldán.

Patrimonio:
Iglesia de Santa María de Colaña. Iglesia que data del siglo xv, y se pueden encontrar varios estilos artísticos, desde mudéjar y bizantino hasta gótico y barroco. En ella se encuentra la escultura de Luisa Roldán (La Roldana) Nuestra Señora Reina de los Ángeles, patrona de Castromocho.
Iglesia de San Esteban. Esta iglesia data del siglo xvi; empezó a construirse en 1545 y no se acabaría hasta tres siglos después años después, en torno a 1822. Es una iglesia totalmente gótica y la sacristía cuenta con un artesonado mudéjar. En el coro se puede encontrar un órgano que se hallaba en el convento de los franciscanos (actualmente destruido) y datado en 1765, siendo uno de los pocos ejemplos de órgano con fuelle de cuña con cuatro bombas. Las portadas son platerescas y dentro de la iglesia se encuentra una inscripción que pone: «Año 1566, Pontífice Máximo Pío V y Rey, Felipe II». Dos lienzos de Luis Lopez (datados en 1822 y 1830) presiden el presbiterio.
Reloj de la villa. Lo mandaron colocar los duques de Osuna y de Benavente. La torre donde se encuentra es el punto más alto del pueblo y es del siglo xix.
Cooperativa Católica Agraria. Más conocido como el sindicato. Actualmente es el único bar del pueblo. Fue fundado el 10 de julio de 1911 por Dionisio Benito, cura e hijo del pueblo, siguiendo las premisas del P. Sisinio Nevares. Entre los contribuyentes de dicha Cooperativa destacaron los Herrero del Corral, especialmente el potentado Clemente Herrero del Corral. La planta de arriba sería de usos múltiples a partir de 1954 y hasta 1962 en que se habilitó como cine parroquial. El 3 de marzo de 1991 desaparece como Cooperativa.

Marzo/abril: Semana Santa.
Semana posterior al Corpus Chistri: La octava del corpus.
2 de agosto: Nuestra Señora Reina de los Ángeles, día del castromochino ausente.
Tercer domingo de septiembre: se celebra la romería de la Reina de los Ángeles.
Finales de septiembre y principios de octubre: la vendimia.
26 de diciembre: San Esteban. Fiestas patronales.
