La Carlota is a city in the south of the province of Córdoba, Argentina, about 110 kilometres (68 mi) south of Villa María and 240 kilometres (150 mi) from Córdoba City. It had 12,537 inhabitants at the 2010 census [INDEC].

Se encuentra sobre el km 500 de la Ruta Nacional N.º 8 en la Pampa Húmeda, entre las ciudades de Venado Tuerto y de Río Cuarto, a la vera del Río IV o Río Chocancharava (según su nombre indígena). Su economía se basa principalmente en la agricultura y, en menor medida, la ganadería.
