Canillas de Río Tuerto
Canillas de Río Tuerto is a village in the province and autonomous community of La Rioja, Spain. The municipality covers an area of 3.6 square kilometres (1.4 sq mi) and as of 2011 had a population of 42 people.

Origins
En un bula de 1199 por la que se concedían privilegios al monasterio de San Millán de la Cogolla aparece nombrado como Canellas. Es una denominación que se refiere a los canales por los que se conducía el agua hacia las huertas.
Hasta la reforma de la nomenclatura municipal de 1916 el municipio se llamaba simplemente Canillas. En dicha fecha su nombre fue modificado por el de Canillas del Río Tuerto.
History
El municipio cuenta con una estructura urbana representativa de las localidades históricas de La Rioja y mantiene una estrecha vinculación con las actividades agrícolas y ganaderas desarrolladas tradicionalmente en el territorio. Su localización favorece la conexión con otros municipios de la comarca y con los principales núcleos de población de la comunidad autónoma.
Canillas de Río Tuerto forma parte del conjunto de municipios que integran el patrimonio cultural, histórico y territorial riojano, conservando tradiciones y celebraciones populares propias de la zona. Asimismo, el entorno natural del municipio se integra en el paisaje característico del valle del río Tuerto y del conjunto de la región.
El término municipal tiene una población de 50 habitantes (2025).

Iglesia de San Martín. De los siglos XIII y XVIII.
Palacio de los Manso de Zúñiga (condes de Hervías). Tiene incoado expediente como bien de interés cultural en la categoría de monumento desde el 18 de febrero de 1985.
