Cañada de Calatrava is a municipality in Ciudad Real, Castile-La Mancha, Spain. The municipality borders Ciudad Real and Villar del Pozo to the east, Caracuel de Calatrava and Corral de Calatrava to the west, and Argamasilla de Calatrava to the south. It has an area of 29.9 km2 with a population of 92 inhabitants (INE 2018) and a density of 3.68/km2.

History
A mediados del siglo XIX, el lugar tenía contabilizada una población de 390 habitantes. Aparece descrito en el quinto volumen del Diccionario geográfico-estadístico-histórico de España y sus posesiones de Ultramar de Pascual Madoz de la siguiente manera:
Hasta la reforma de la nomenclatura municipal de 1916 el municipio se llamaba simplemente Cañada. En dicha fecha su nombre fue modificado por el de Cañada de Calatrava.
