History
A mediados del siglo XIX el lugar tenía contabilizada una población de 237 habitantes. Aparece descrito en el quinto volumen del Diccionario geográfico-estadístico-histórico de España y sus posesiones de Ultramar de Pascual Madoz de la siguiente manera:

Iglesia de San Miguel, consagrada para el culto en el año 1729, es de mampostería con sillares en las esquinas, el remate de la torre campanario es de ladrillo.
