L'Ametlla del Vallès (Catalan pronunciation: [ləˈmɛʎʎa ðəl βəˈʎɛs]) is a village in the province of Barcelona and autonomous community of Catalonia, Spain. The municipality covers an area of 14.24 square kilometres (5.50 sq mi) and the population in 2022 was 9,020.
History
La Ametlla ha sido un tradicional centro de veraneo. En el municipio también se han desarrollado algunos pequeños núcleos industriales en Montguit y Mas Dorca. Como patrimonio artístico podemos destacar la parroquia de San Ginés Mártir, el ayuntamiento de estilo modernista, la ermita de San Nicolás, y algunas masías y casas pairales como Can Draper, Can Xammar de Dalt y Can Xammar de Baix.
