Aísa is a town and municipality located in the province of Huesca, Aragon, Spain. According to the 2009 census (INE), the municipality had a population of 394 residents. The municipality includes the towns of Candanchú, Esposa and Sinués.

History

De su término municipal forman parte también los núcleos de Candanchú, Esposa y Sinués. Hay que destacar igualmente la estación de esquí de Candanchú. A comienzos de 2011 el pueblo de Aísa contaba con una población de 159 habitantes.

Patrimonio:

Conjunto urbano, ejemplo de la arquitectura rural pirenaica aragonesa.

Dolmen ubicado en su término municipal, el más antiguo del Pirineo.

Ermita de San Esteban, en la que se educó Alfonso I el Batallador.

Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de la Asunción, templo del siglo XVIII edificado sobre los restos de un templo románico anterior.

Iglesia gótica de Sinués.

Los caseríos de los pueblos de Aísa y Sinués, junto con la iglesia parroquial de Sinués fueron incluidos en el catálogo de bienes inscritos como parte del sitio Caminos de Santiago de Compostela: Camino Francés y Caminos del Norte de España, dentro del Patrimonio de la Humanidad.

Dance de Sinués:

Es de gran interés el dance de Sinués o palotiau de Sinués, que se celebra por las fiestas del Rosario en Sinués, habiéndose recuperado hace pocos años.

Lugares de interés:

Las Tiesas Altas, pardina del siglo XVII.

Festividades:

15 y 16 de agosto: fiestas de la Virgen de la Asunción y San Roque en Aísa

A finales de agosto, San Bartolomé en Esposa.

Primeros de agosto, fiestas de verano en Candanchú.

Primeros de octubre, fiestas en Sinués
