Villar del Olmo is a municipality of the Community of Madrid, Spain. It is a town located east of the Community of Madrid, in the District of Las Vegas (although it is considered part of the Comarca de Alcalá). Its population is 2219 inhabitants (INE - 2022) and has an area of 28 km ². Per capita income data for 2003 is 8452 € / person.

History
Repoblado por Segovia en la Reconquista, entre el 25 de marzo de 1190 y 1214, formaría parte del Sexmo de Tajuña, perteneciente a la Comunidad de Ciudad y Tierra de Segovia, en 1214 pasaría a la silla del Arzobispado de Toledo y en consecuencia a la Comunidad de Villa y Tierra de Alcalá de Henares.
Hacia mediados del siglo XIX, la villa tenía contabilizada una población de 581 habitantes. Aparece descrita en el decimosexto volumen del Diccionario geográfico-estadístico-histórico de España y sus posesiones de Ultramar de Pascual Madoz de la siguiente manera:
