Torredembarra (Catalan pronunciation: [ˌtorəðəmˈbarə]), normally called La Torre by its inhabitants, is a town in the comarca of the Tarragonès, in the province of Tarragona, Catalonia, Spain. It is located on the Costa Daurada, it faces Altafulla to the west, La Pobla de Montornès to the north, Creixell to the east and Mediterranean Sea in the south. It is 13 km to Tarragona's northeast and about 100 km southwest Barcelona. It has a population of 18,237 (register office, 2025) . The GR 92 long distance footpath, which roughly follows the length of the Mediterranean coast of Spain, has a staging point at Torredembarra. Stage 24 links northwards to Calafell, a distance of 15.0 kilometres (9.3 mi), whilst stage 25 links southwards to Tarragona, a distance of 20.0 kilometres (12.4 mi).

History
Domina la población el antiguo castillo o palacio construido a principios del siglo XVII por los Icard, señores de la baronía de Torredembarra, que enlazaron en aquella época con los Queralt, condes de Santa Coloma. Los Icard habían adquirido el lugar a los Olzinelles a finales del siglo XVI. La iglesia parroquial está dedicada a San Pedro. Hay resto de las antiguas murallas y fortificaciones y de la primitiva torre construida por Ramón de la Torre en 1173 entre Altafulla y Clarà que fue lo que originó la población. En los Munts, en la vecina Altafulla, se excavó una notable villa romana.
La guerra de Sucesión: en el verano de 1713 se produce la batalla de Torredembarra, donde las tropas borbónicas terminan venciendo a las austracistas debido a la retirada de los catalanes, dejando solos a los soldados aragoneses en una clara minoría, que aún con todo resistieron valerosamente. Tras esta batalla los Tratados de Utrecht en 1713 darán por finalizado el conflicto con la victoria castellana y de Felipe V.

Playa del Barrio Marítimo: Su extensión es de 820 m por 60 m de ancho. El nivel medio de ocupación es alto. Playa urbana con paseo marítimo, galardonada con bandera azul, principalmente compuesta por arena dorada. El estado habitual de la mar es aguas tranquilas. Playa con acceso a personas con discapacidad.
Playa "dels Muntanyans": Su extensión es de 4100 m por 100 m de ancho. El nivel medio de ocupación es medio. Playa protegida, aislada sin paseo marítimo, galardonada con bandera azul, principalmente compuesta por arena dorada. El estado habitual de la mar es aguas tranquilas. Playa de gran extensión que alberga un ecosistema dunar típico de costa con dunas semimóviles y lagunas de agua salada, por lo que está incluida en el Plan de Espacios de Interés Natural.
Playa de la "Paella" Su extensión es de 780 m por 80 m de ancho. El nivel medio de ocupación es alto. Playa urbana con paseo marítimo, galardonada con bandera azul, principalmente compuesta por arena dorada. El estado habitual de la mar es aguas tranquilas. Playa con acceso a personas con discapacidad.
