Tordoia (Galician pronunciation: [toɾˈðojɐ]) is a municipality in the province of A Coruña, in the autonomous community of Galicia, northwestern Spain. It belongs to the comarca of Ordes. It has a population of 4847 (Spanish 2001 Census) and an area of 125 km2 (48 sq mi).
Monuments
El lugar de mayor interés del municipio, dado su valor histórico y arqueológico, es el Dolmen de Cabaleiros. El Dolmen de Cabaleiros, también conocido como Casa da Moura, Casa dos Mouros o Couza do Cacheiro, es Monumento Histórico-Artístico desde 1975. Es un magnífico ejemplo de la arquitectura funeraria del neolítico en el noroeste peninsular. El túmulo tiene un diámetro aproximado de 30 m. y una altura de 2 m. La cámara funeraria está formada por ocho losas, de las cuales una es la de cubrición. Sería una cámara poligonal abierta con corredor diferenciado en planta y en alzado.
