Tocina is a city located in the province of Seville, Spain. According to the 2005 census (INE), the city has a population of 9114 inhabitants. Its name in Moorish times was Tushēna (Arabic: طُشَانَة). Tocina is twin city with Żejtun in Malta.

History
En su territorio municipal, Tocina cuenta con una pedanía llamada Los Rosales, situada a apenas unos kilómetros del núcleo municipal. Se estableció a partir de la creación de un nudo ferroviario en la zona y de la construcción, años después, de una fábrica azucarera.

Ermita de Nuestra Señora de la Soledad, construida por los devotos de esta imagen en el siglo XVIII.
Chimenea de la antigua azucarera San Fernando.
El pozo de Los Cuatro Santos. La tradición indica que en ese lugar aparecieron los cuerpos de los santos patronos de Tocina.
El pozo de la antigua ermita del Santísimo Cristo de la Vera-Cruz, que aún se conserva en la avenida Pozo de la Ermita.
What to visit
La fecha de celebración de la Feria es el primer domingo de septiembre. Antes se celebraba en el paseo o Gran Avenida, pero ahora se lleva a cabo en el Gran Recinto Ferial Municipal 28 de Febrero.
Tocina es un pueblo que atrae visitantes durante la primera quincena de septiembre, cuando se celebran las conocidas Fiestas de la Función del Señor. La celebración tiene su momento culmen el 14 de septiembre, día de fiesta local en el municipio, con la salida en procesión de gloria de la Venerada Imagen del Santísimo Cristo de la Vera-Cruz.
