History
Todo se remonta al Siglo XII cuando se construyeron las primeras viviendas por la expansión en la sierra de Guadalajara. En ese entonces era una pedanía de Sigüenza y por tanto dirigida por el Obispado de Sigüenza. Fue así hasta el año 1584 cuando el pueblo adquirió el título de Villa y por tanto la independencia del señorío episcopal de Sigüenza por 1.178.310 maravedís (472€, 220.000€ actuales) pagados al Rey Felipe II, pasando a llamarse
Real Villa de Sienes, un título de gran prestigio y que lo distinguía de otras villas dándole algunos privilegios. Este acontecimiento es sin duda el más importante en todo su legado como villa. En todo este tiempo ha ido evolucionado con importantes cambios como la construcción de una pared de frontón y la reforma de la plaza mayor, campo de fútbol, el asfaltado de las calles, la construcción de una nueva ermita llamada Ermita de la Soledad, renovación de diferentes edificios municipales como el ayuntamiento o la iglesia y sobre todo la llegada de luz y agua.
Debido a la compra del título, se independizó del Señorío Episcopal de Sigüenza. Pasó de ser una pedanía, a tener en la actualidad dos: Tobes y Torrecilla del Ducado.
La Villa de Sienes es un pequeño pueblo ubicado en el tramo 10 de la ruta de Don Quijote, que, a pesar de ser un pequeño pueblo, tiene mucho encanto.
En él se puede visitar el famoso "pilón", la picota, el ayuntamiento o la iglesia entre otras cosas.

Festivals
Durante la fiesta del Mayo los jóvenes del pueblo escogen un chopo, el cual llevan a hombros a la plaza del pueblo, lugar donde lo levantan a pulso para exhibirlo. Las fiestas patronales son el 10 de diciembre en honor a Santa Eulalia de Mérida, aunque se celebran el último fin de semana de agosto.
