Sant Martí Vell (Catalan pronunciation: [ˈsam məɾˈti ˈβeʎ]) is a village in the province of Girona and autonomous community of Catalonia, Spain. The municipality covers an area of 17.48 square kilometres (6.75 sq mi) and the population in 2014 was 242.

History
Aparece documentado por primera vez en 1035 con la forma Sancti Martini qui dicunt vetulo.
Conocido luego como San Martín Vell, en 1887 fue agregado al municipio de Madremaña, y volvió a ser un municipio independiente en 1931, con el nombre de San Martivell.
