Sant Andreu Salou (Catalan pronunciation: [ˈsant ənˈdɾew səˈlɔw]) is a village in the province of Girona and autonomous community of Catalonia, Spain. The municipality covers an area of 5.98 square kilometres (2.31 sq mi) and the population in 2014 was 155.

History

A mediados del siglo XIX, el lugar tenía contabilizada una población de 170 habitantes. Aparece descrito en el decimotercer volumen del Diccionario geográfico-estadístico-histórico de España y sus posesiones de Ultramar de Pascual Madoz de la siguiente manera:

El municipio se llamaba San Andrés Salou hasta el censo de 1981, cuando pasó a recibir el nombre de Sant Andreu Salou.
