Sanaüja (Catalan pronunciation: [sanaˈuʒa]) is a village in the province of Lleida and autonomous community of Catalonia, Spain. It has a population of 385 (register office, 2025) .
History
A mediados del siglo XIX la villa tenía contabilizada una población de 1037 habitantes. Aparece descrita en el decimotercer volumen del Diccionario geográfico-estadístico-histórico de España y sus posesiones de Ultramar de Pascual Madoz de la siguiente manera:
Monuments
Font de ferro (fuente de hierro): fuente que debe su nombre al sabor del agua que allí brota. Solo se puede acceder andando y el camino es especialmente bonito porque bordea los huertos de los habitantes de Sanahuja.
Camí dels molinets: caminito muy estrecho que solo se puede recorrer andando y que bordea el río llamado "Ribera".
La placeta: plaza pequeña del pueblo, donde se sitúa el consultorio médico y la farmacia.
