Parrillas is a municipality located in the province of Toledo, Castile-La Mancha, Spain. At the 2006 census (INE), the municipality had a population of 410 inhabitants.

Origins
Jiménez de Gregorio vincula la etimología al ganado, como derivado del latín parricus, cercado para guardar ganado. Según el Ayuntamiento, el término Parrillas deriva del diminutivo de parras.
History
Parrillas perteneció al señorío de Oropesa hasta 1642, cuando, al aumentar su población se le otorgó el privilegio de villa, aunque sin eximirse de la jurisdicción señorial.
A mediados del siglo XIX, la villa tenía contabilizada una población de 654 habitantes. Aparece descrita en el decimosegundo volumen del Diccionario geográfico-estadístico-histórico de España y sus posesiones de Ultramar de Pascual Madoz de la siguiente manera:
