History
Paracuellos is a municipality in Cuenca, Castile-La Mancha, Spain. It has a population of 136.
Monuments
Castillo de Paracuellos. De origen árabe (siglo XII), se alza sobre una roca en el valle del Arroyo de la Vega. Fue donado por Alfonso VIII al obispo de Cuenca junto con el de Monteagudo de las Salinas en 1187. A su alrededor se sitúan los restos del primitivo poblado. El castillo de Paracuellos fue declarado bien de interés cultural en 1992 y ha sido recientemente restaurado.

Paracuellos de la Vega dispone de un centro de día, inaugurado en septiembre de 2010, con servicios de peluquería y podología para los usuarios. El edificio multiusos alberga, asimismo, una cafetería, un centro de Internet y una biblioteca. Además, el municipio cuenta con un local social adosado al centro de día.
Por otra parte, Paracuellos de la Vega cuenta desde 2008 con un Centro de Exposiciones situado en la antigua Casa del Curato. Esta instalación cultural ha albergado en los últimos años diversas exposiciones artísticas y otras dedicadas a la vida cotidiana en la localidad a lo largo del siglo XX.
