Monroyo (Spanish: [monˈroʝo]) or Mont-roig de Tastavins (Catalan: [monˈrɔdʒ ðe ˌtastaˈβins]) is a municipality located in the Matarraña/Matarranya comarca, province of Teruel, Aragon, Spain. According to the 2004 census (INE), the municipality has a population of 324 inhabitants.
History
A mediados del siglo XIX la villa tenía contabilizada una población de 1396 habitantes. Aparece descrita en el decimoprimer volumen del Diccionario geográfico-estadístico-histórico de España y sus posesiones de Ultramar de Pascual Madoz de la siguiente manera:
