Larraul is a town and municipality located in the province of Gipuzkoa, in the autonomous community of Basque Country, northern Spain.
History
Hacia mediados del siglo XIX, el lugar, ya por entonces con ayuntamiento propio, tenía contabilizada una población de 213 habitantes. Aparece descrito en el décimo volumen del Diccionario geográfico-estadístico-histórico de España y sus posesiones de Ultramar de Pascual Madoz con las siguientes palabras:
What to visit
Larraul cuenta con un museo etnográfico. Las piezas que se pueden ver en él son de diferentes épocas y muestran la vida y las costumbres del caserío vasco.
Idiomas:
El 92 % de la población del municipio sabe hablar euskera, si bien su uso habitual es algo menor, en torno al 80 por ciento.[cita requerida]
