Lagunilla is a municipality in the Province of Salamanca, Spain. It is 95 km (59 mi) from the provincial capital of Salamanca. It is bordered by Aldeacipreste, Colmenar de Montemayor, Valdelageve, Sotoserrano and Zarza de Granadilla. In 2005 it counted 560 inhabitants, of which 300 were male and 260 were female (figures from the INE as of Jan 1, 2005) in an area of 42.52 km2 (16.42 sq mi). As of 2016 the population was 496 residents. Its altitude is 910 m (2,990 ft) above sea level. Its postal code is 37724. The 15th of August is the big festival of the town, which celebrates the "Virgen of the Ascension". After this, no other festival is as important as that of September 14–15, "The Holy Christ of the Afflicted".

Su término municipal está formado por un solo núcleo de población, ocupa una superficie total de 42,52 km² y según los datos demográficos recogidos en el padrón municipal elaborado por el INE en el año 2025, cuenta con 414 habitantes.

El 15 de agosto es la fiesta grande del pueblo, la de su patrona la Virgen de la Asunción. Después de las fiestas de agosto, ninguna reviste tanta importancia como las del 14-15 de septiembre, El Santísimo Cristo de los Afligidos.

Buses
Dada su situación en un extremo tanto de la provincia, como de la comunidad autónoma el municipio no está muy bien comunicado por carretera, siendo el único acceso al mismo una carretera local que en sentido este lo une con El Cerro y Peñacaballera, dónde finaliza en el enlace con la autovía Ruta de la Plata que une Gijón con Sevilla, y cuyo acceso se encuentra a 13 km de distancia. En dirección noroeste surge una carretera local que une con Valdelageve y la Sierra de Francia.
En cuanto al transporte público se refiere, tras el cierre de la ruta ferroviaria de la Vía de la Plata, que pasaba por el municipio de Béjar y contaba con estación en el mismo, no existen servicios de tren en el municipio ni en los vecinos, ni tampoco línea regular con servicio de autobús, siendo la estación más cercana la de Béjar. Por otro lado el aeropuerto de Salamanca es el más cercano, estando a unos 95km de distancia.
