El municipio tiene una superficie de 41,54 km², cuenta según el padrón municipal para 2025 del INE con 228 habitantes y una densidad de 5,49 hab./km².
Monuments
Su principal atractivo turístico son las ruinas del monasterio de Santa María de Moreruela, cenobio del siglo XII que perteneció a la orden del císter y cuyos restos tienen un gran valor patrimonial, estando declarado bien de interés cultural.
