Gósol (Catalan pronunciation: [ˈgozul]) is a village and municipality located in the northwest of the comarca of Berguedà in Catalonia, Spain. It is within the confines of Cadí-Moixeró Natural Park in the Pyrenees, to the west of Pedraforca. It has a population of 205 (register office, 2025) . Gósol is the only municipality in Berguedà which is in the province of Lleida rather than that of Barcelona. It is also a party to the Judicial district of La Seu d'Urgell.

History
A mediados del siglo XIX, la villa, ya por entonces con Ayuntamiento propio, tenía contabilizada una población de 450 habitantes. Aparece descrita en el octavo volumen del Diccionario geográfico-estadístico-histórico de España y sus posesiones de Ultramar de Pascual Madoz con las siguientes palabras:
Pablo Picasso y el doctor Agustí Pedro i Pons (quien permaneció en Gósol bastante tiempo) visitaron la localidad.
Monuments
El castillo de Gósol.
El Museo Picasso de Gósol, símbolo cultural emblemático del pueblo. Cuenta la existencia de la visita del pintor Pablo Picasso al pueblo en la primavera de 1906, donde permaneció hasta la primera mitad de agosto. El artista se instaló en la única taberna existente, Cal Tampanada, en ese tiempo propiedad de Josep Fontdevila. En Gósol, Picasso sufrió una transformación y durante este periodo cambió su paleta, su estilo pictórico y su ritmo de composición. Sus modelos fueron Fernande Olivier (su compañera en ese tiempo), el pueblo, las gentes del lugar, los toros y los caballos.
