Fígols i Alinyà (Catalan pronunciation: [ˈfiɣolz i aliˈɲa]) is a municipality in the comarca of the Alt Urgell in Catalonia, Spain. It is situated on the left bank of the Segre river between Coll de Nargó and Organyà, just above the Oliana reservoir. The municipality was formed in 1972 by the merger of the municipalities of Fígols d'Organyà and Alinyà: the ajuntament (town hall) is in Fígols. A local road links the municipality with Organyà. It has a population of 234 (register office, 2025) .

History

Desde 978 perteneció al obispado de Urgel. A partir de 1130 pasó a depender del Priorato de Orgaña.

Durante la primera guerra carlista un grupo de liberales se vio atacado por tropas carlistas y se refugiaron en la iglesia de Fígols. Los carlistas incendiaron el templo, matando a los que en él se refugiaban. En Aliñá se produjeron también diversos enfrentamientos entre carlistas y liberales.

En 1972 se fusionaron los antiguos municipios de Aliñá y Fígols de Orgañá, dando lugar al municipio actual.

Monuments

La iglesia parroquial de Fígols está dedicada a San Víctor. Se trata de un edificio románico de nave única con capillas laterales y con un ábside semicircular. La cubierta es de bóveda de cañón. Tiene anexo un campanario de espadaña y la portalada es adovelada.

La iglesia de Aliñá, dedicada a san Esteban, es también románica. Fue consagrada en 1057. Es de una nave con ábside semicircular. La cubierta es de bóveda apuntada y la portalada presenta archivoltas en degradación. Tiene anexo un campanario de espadaña.

Otros templos románicos dentro del término municipal son los de San Bernabé de Alsina, las de San Marcos, Santa Eulalia y San Pedro de Canellas y la de San Román de Perles.
