Escobosa de Almazán is a municipality located in the province of Soria, Castile and León, Spain.
History
A la caída del Antiguo Régimen la localidad se constituye en municipio constitucional, conocido entonces como Escobosa y Granja de Valdemora en la región de Castilla la Vieja que en el censo de 1842 contaba con 31 hogares y 112 vecinos. A mediados del siglo XIX, el lugar tenía contabilizadas 40 casas. Aparece descrito en el séptimo volumen del Diccionario geográfico-estadístico-histórico de España y sus posesiones de Ultramar de Pascual Madoz de la siguiente manera:
