Dévanos is a municipality located in the province of Soria, Castile and León, Spain. According to the 2004 census (INE), the municipality has a population of 115 inhabitants.

Origins
El antiguo nombre del pueblo es Tabanium, en honor a una divinidad relacionada con las aguas. El nombre Dévanos podría haber sido una adaptación de este nombre al español, aunque podría también provenir del latín, "dei-panis" ('el pan de Dios').
History
A la caída del Antiguo Régimen la localidad se constituyó en municipio constitucional, conocido entonces como Dévanos, en la región antes llamada Castilla la Vieja, partido de Ágreda y contando con 50 hogares y 204 vecinos en el censo de 1842. A mediados del siglo XIX, el lugar tenía contabilizadas 54 casas. Aparece descrito en el séptimo volumen del Diccionario geográfico-estadístico-histórico de España y sus posesiones de Ultramar de Pascual Madoz de la siguiente manera:
Monuments
Iglesia de la Virgen del Patrocinio, cuya imagen preside el retablo mayor.
Ermita de la Virgen del Castillejo, erigida a expensas de José Hernández Martínez, hijo del pueblo, que fue canónigo de Zaragoza. Se edificó sobre el antiguo cementerio del pueblo en estilo neogótico y fue inaugurada el 8 de septiembre de 1922.
