O Carballiño (Spanish: Carballino) is a municipality in the province of Ourense, in the autonomous community of Galicia, Spain. It has a population of 13,939 (2019) and an area of 54 km2.
History
La villa, situada a 25 km de la capital provincial, está bien comunicada y con las autovías AG-54 y AG-53 a su servicio; y su cercanía a Orense hace que se configure como ciudad dormitorio de esta. Es sede del partido judicial de Carballino, que es el partido judicial n.º 7 de la provincia de Orense y uno de los cuarenta y cinco partidos judiciales de Galicia.
