Cabañas de Polendos is a municipality located in the province of Segovia, Castile and León, Spain. According to the 2004 census (INE), the municipality had a population of 121 inhabitants.

History
De fundación medieval integrándose en el Sexmo de Cabezas de la Comunidad de Ciudad y Terra de Segovia, se cita por primera vez en los archivos del Archivo Catedralicio de Segovia en 1247 como Cabannas.
En 1828 la población contaba, según el Diccionario geográfico-estadístico de España y Portugal de Sebastián Miñano, con unos 82 habitantes. Hacia mediados del siglo XIX, el lugar tenía contabilizada una población de 83 habitantes. Aparece descrito en el quinto volumen del Diccionario geográfico-estadístico-histórico de España y sus posesiones de Ultramar de Pascual Madoz de la siguiente manera:
El vecino municipio independiente de Mata de Quintanar pasó a ser una localidad anejada de Cabañas en 1857, al tener menos población, no sería hasta 2025 cuando esta relación de población se invertiría. Previamente habría ocurrido lo mismo con el hoy despoblado de Agejas, que se vació en tiempos de la primera guerra carlista «por las molestias que les ocasionaba (a los vecinos) el continuo paso de tropas».
Hasta la reforma de la nomenclatura municipal de 1916 el municipio se llamaba simplemente Cabañas. En dicha fecha su nombre fue modificado por el de Cabañas de Polendos.

Complejo Artesanal de Las Caravas, con más de 12 talleres artesanos que abren sus puertas al público todos los primeros fines de semana de cada mes.

Restos de la ermita románica de Agejas con restos de pinturas en su interior, esta entró a formar parte el 4 de diciembre de 2023 de la Lista roja de patrimonio en peligro por riesgo de desaparición y olvido institucional.
