Buitrago is a municipality located in the province of Soria, Soria, Spain. According to the 2004 census (INE), the municipality had a population of 55 inhabitants. Historically, a Jewish community was present in Buitrago. Its first written documentation was in 1290, and in 1492, when the Jews were expelled, most fled to North Africa or Portugal.

History
Lugar que durante la Edad Media perteneció a la Comunidad de Villa y Tierra de Soria formando parte del Sexmo de San Juan. En el documento original, figura como Buytrago.
El Censo de Pecheros de 1528, en el que no se contaban eclesiásticos, hidalgos y nobles, registraba la existencia de 24 pecheros, es decir unidades familiares que pagaban impuestos.
A la caída del Antiguo Régimen la localidad se constituye en municipio constitucional en la región de Castilla la Vieja, partido de Soria que en el censo de 1842 contaba con 51 hogares y 207 vecinos. Hacia mediados del siglo XIX, el lugar tenía contabilizadas 44 casas. Aparece descrito en el cuarto volumen del Diccionario geográfico-estadístico-histórico de España y sus posesiones de Ultramar de Pascual Madoz de la siguiente manera:
A mediados del siglo XIX, creció el término del municipio porque incorporó a Ausejo de la Sierra y a Fuentelfresno.
A finales del siglo XIX disminuyó el término del municipio porque se independizó Ausejo de la Sierra, con Fuentelfresno.
