Bescanó (Catalan pronunciation: [bəskəˈno]) is a small town in the province of Girona and autonomous community of Catalonia, Spain. The municipality covers an area of 45.86 square kilometres (17.71 sq mi) and the population in 2014 was 4874.

Hacia mediados del siglo XIX, el lugar tenía contabilizada una población de 200 habitantes. La localidad aparece descrita en el cuarto volumen del Diccionario geográfico-estadístico-histórico de España y sus posesiones de Ultramar de Pascual Madoz de la siguiente manera:
