History
A mediados del siglo XIX el lugar tenía contabilizada una población de 227 habitantes. Aparece descrito en el segundo volumen del Diccionario geográfico-estadístico-histórico de España y sus posesiones de Ultramar de Pascual Madoz de la siguiente manera:
