Alba de Yeltes

Alba de Yeltes is a village and municipality in the province of Salamanca, western Spain, part of the autonomous community of Castile and León. In 2016 the municipality had a population of 233. It has an area of 22 km2 (8.5 sq mi) and lies at 788 m (2,585 ft) above sea level. The municipality is bordered on the north by Castraz, on the east by Aldehuela de Yeltes, on the south by Dios le Guarde, on the southwest by Tenebrón, on the west by Ciudad Rodrigo, and on the northwest by Sancti-Spíritus.

History
Su término municipal está formado por la localidad de Alba de Yeltes y el diseminado de El Mejorito, ocupa una superficie total de 22,36 km² y según los datos demográficos recogidos en el padrón municipal elaborado por el INE en el año 2025, cuenta con una población de 205 habitantes.

What to visit
Patrimonio:
La iglesia parroquial de Nuestra Señora de la Asunción conserva en su primitiva fábrica la portada septentrional, animada con pomas, fue iniciada a finales del siglo XV. Su actual fábrica deriva en gran medida de las transformaciones llevadas a cabo en el siglo XVIII. En el interior destaca la pila bautismal de granito, con depósito animado de gallones, que muy bien podría corresponder al siglo XVI.
Fiestas:
Las fiestas patronales de Alba de Yeltes se celebran el día 2 de octubre, festividad de los Santos Ángeles Custodios.
